Care Bridge is not equipped to handle medical emergencies and should never be used as a substitute for emergency medical services.

If You Are Experiencing a Medical Emergency

If you or someone near you is experiencing a medical emergency, stop using this platform and call your local emergency services immediately:

Symptoms Requiring Immediate Emergency Care

Seek immediate emergency care if you are experiencing any of the following:

• Chest pain, pressure, or tightness
• Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
• Signs of stroke: sudden numbness or weakness (especially on one side of the body), sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding speech, sudden trouble seeing, sudden severe headache
• Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis): swelling of the throat, difficulty breathing, rapid heartbeat
• Uncontrolled bleeding
• Loss of consciousness or fainting
• Severe abdominal pain
• Thoughts of self-harm or suicide — if you are in crisis, please contact emergency services or a crisis helpline in your area immediately

What to Do in a Medical Emergency

In any medical emergency:

• Call your local emergency number listed above
• Follow the instructions of emergency dispatchers
• Go to the nearest emergency room if you are able to do so safely
• Do not wait for a response from Care Bridge or any online medical service
